A request was received in the Engineering Office on August 20, 2014 requesting the requirement to install sidewalk per City of Rapid City Ordinance 12.08.060 be waived. A 5 foot sidewalk is required to be constructed one foot from the property line along Concourse Drive. The requested variance will allow for construction of an industrial building without the installation of sidewalk in the adjacent right-of-way. Adjacent Concourse Drive is an industrial street with curb and gutter and no sidewalk. The closest sidewalks to this property are located 625’ south on Concourse Drive. |
